I got a text message today from 570-847-9732 : Your entry last month has Won!! goto... "some stupid link" and enter your Winning code: 5555
I dont enter sweepstakes, they are clearly barking up the wrong tree! lol!

I forgot to mention that at the text was for a $1000 Bestbuy gift card...

I got the same text. I also didn't enter.

Sent via text.  "your entry last month has won.  goto http://bestbuy-1k.com and enter your winning code: 5555 to claim your free $1000 bestbuy gift card."
Obviously not a real Best Buy affiliated text.  Since I have no Best Buy account nor does Best Buy have this phone number.

I got the text message today at 11:59AM on my iPhone from +1 (570) 847-9732 that said:

“Your entry last month has
Won!! Goto http://bestbuy-1k.com
and enter your Winning Code: 5555 to
claim your Free $1000
BestBuy Gift Card.”

Now, I DO have a BestBuy account, but something told me to check the website first and research the phone number..I’m so glad I did!  I contacted my local BestBuy and the Lady who answered the phone was quite aware of the website and the SCAM.  She said the website would redirect you to another one, which would take all of your information and possibly infect your computer and phone with a virus.  She also BestBuy would NEVER sent out such a text to anyone.

Moral of the Story:  Be Healthy and VERIFY your Sources!
