The caller was rude and use foul offensive language. The horrid part is that they were calling about someone else.

Recorded call for my wife. She's been dead for over 3-1/2 years! Jerks.

These [***] call as early as 8am and as late as 10pm. Today, for the third time, they seemed to have bypassed my answering machine. It usually plays a message that tells the caller they are "not authorized", but this is the third time, the machine played nothing and a prerecorded message is played by the caller (Oxford Mgmt) and recorded by the machine. The machine is digital, so I suppose they could over ride the program. Anybody else experience this? My ex has been gone for 2 years, but they keep calling me.

If they tell you that you have to pay a "processing fee" over and above the amount you owe, DON'T DO IT.  Check out the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT on the FTC website at http://www.ftc.gov under consumer protection.
