Received a call from 570-243-1692 about a compound bow I had listed on craigslist for $750.00.  He said he was from N. Y.  He said the only way he could pay me was through PayPal.  I gave him my e-mail address so he could deposit the money in my Paypal account.  He said that he would text me as soon as he made the transaction on PayPal.  After I hung up I just didn't feel right about the call.  So I googled the phone number and found out that it was a Penn. telephone number.  I don't really know if he can get very far with my e-mail address or not.  I'm going to keep close tabs on my PayPal account and also my bank account.  If anyone else has had a call from this number wanting to buy something please let me know through this post.

Received a text message asking a question about something I have for sale on Kijiji.  I texted back, they have not responded...question sounded legit, so I didn't check the number, until they didn't text back....they are several thousand miles away, can't imagine them wanting to drive to Canada to pick up a camper....in any case, should I be worried that I responded to their question?  I gave no personal info in the response at all.  It was simply a "yes" to their question of whether I was the first owner.

Received a text message asking about a truck I have for sale on Craigslist. I texted back. They have not responded. The area code was weird so I decided to look it up. It says it is in PA. I posted this for NC. Why would you look for a car several states away?

I also received a text from 570-243-1692 wanting to buy my fishing boat for his son.  I live in the Carolinas and he said he was in NY and could only pay with paypal.   I texted him back that I would only accept local cash in hand and he could run his scam somewhere else.  Thanks for putting the info here.
