Guy calls and says I owe chase from a credit card that was written off in 2005..I explain that Ive been out of work for 18 mths and looking and want to pay my debts. I explain that I own money to many sources from before my devorce..Guy then says well if you cant settle this, save your hard luck story I will just issue a warrant for your arrest and send a sheriff..Im like is this your master plan to get paid?? Have a guy arrested and put in jail,,brilliant...Im not sure if this can be done but its scary non the less.

don't pay, they are nobody but scam offices, tell them to send the papers and your lawyer will look it over.

They got me... I have been paying them $200. a month for the last 3 years!  I panicked when they called me because me credit was less than perfect due to a rough divorce.. I really can't afford paying that much but they bullied me and I fell for it... Please tell me what to do.

You need a consumer law attorney. If you cannot afford one, contact your local Legal Aid Society for assistance.
