Ladies who are on dating websites be VERY wary of anyone who claims to be in the military. There is a scam going on called Nigeria 419. These men most often sitting in Nigeria at a computer and not in Afghanistan as they claim. They are stealing photos from REAL military men from Facebook or My Space. These supposed soliders claim they need you to buy/rent them a phone because they want to hear your sweet voice. Will profess undying love to you in a short amount of time from your first contact. All have some sad tale about their parents dying when they were young children. Often claim they are widowers and lost their wives to some tragedy and are left with a child(ren) left to raise by themselves. Claim to look for good, honest, caring, sincere women who they can have a future with. Claim they are to retire after this deployment. You are asked for money to bring them home for a special leave or home to facilitate this early retirement. NOT TRUE. No such thing as early retirement. ALL leave transportation is paid by the gov. In the emails & chat session sytax is odd. Sometimes they will ask you text them to their cell phone but it doesn't work for incoming calls. More about this on www.romancescams.com I know, it's happened to me.
