These people have called us twice in one week -- and you know how they got our number?  They went to lost pet websites in my area and got it!  When my cat first went missing, I put his information and our phone number on several sites and within an hour or two, I got the Indian-accented woman (also seemed to be a bad connection with lots of static) asking for the owner.  I looked the number up and some site talked about the same woman and type of call.  Then, today, I added my lost cat info and number to another lost pet site and same thing -- within a couple of hours I got the same person!  I told her to quit going on lost pet websites and calling the numbers on them and not to ever call me back (also blocked her).  These scum are going to lost pet websites and calling the numbers, knowing we'll answer because we are desperate to get our pets back.  They are probably selling the numbers to other scammers!!!
