Caller ID:  VOIP CALLER  Machine answered and male said hello and then hunp up after no response.

Asking for charity donations

An unwanted call from this Fresno VOIP number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space.  This is a favorite tactic of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who use automated dialers to troll  the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to rip off.

During the Christmas season, charity scams abound, and according to some posters, this caller may be promoting one. Protect yourself  Let your answering machine take their pathetic. thieving entreaties!

"Fundraising for police." PULEEEZE. BLOCKED.

As far as I am concerned this is a fraud and an intrusion. No message was left. 9:49 AM if far too early for anyone to call me on a weekend and the perpetrator should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law regardless of whether it is a charity or not. My instincts tell me this is a totally bogus scam operation, so the number is blocked and reported to the feds. Ooma call log info: (559) 473-1078  Fresno CA  Today 09:49 AM
