GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER. THEY STATE THEY ARE FROM  A COMPANY NAMED CDC & ASSOCIATES. SAID THEY HAVE A CASE AGAINST MY WIFE ON FRAUDULENT CHECKS WRITTEN AGAINST CHASE BANK. "WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL"! NO SUCH COMPANY. PHONE NUMBER IS OUT OF CALIFORNIA. AFTER THE MESSAGE THE STATE - YOU HAVE BEEN LEGALLY NOTIFIED ! HAVE HAD THE SAME MESSAGE LEFT BUT BY A DIFFERENT PERSON AND DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER.
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THESE AWHOLES CALLING. WHY CAN'T THEY BE CAUGHT ?? IF ANYONE GETS THESE CALLS, DON'T ANSWER THEM. LET THEM GO INTO VOICE MAIL. IT'S A SCAM SO DON'T RESPOND TO THEM.

I got a call from them today. They stated that they were filing a bad check charge against me for a payday loan from Ace Cash Express. They claim I got the loan in 2009 and were going to seize all my assets untill they got a judgement, unless I payed them immediately. I asked for verification of debt, they claimed that they were attorneys, and were not required to follow the fdcpa. They absolutely refused to give any information citing concerns for my privacy. They claim to have sent a letter to an address I never heard of in the next city over from where I was living at the time. When I asked where the loan was taken out they claimed a city on the east coast, but refused to specify which one. So after my second request for a verification of debt they said good luck in court and hung up

CALLED MY CELL PHONE STATING THEY NEEDED TO SPEAK TO ME ABOUT A LOAN AND NEEDED MY ADDRESS SO THEY COULD SERVE ME COURT PAPERS...REALLY ANNOYING

I actually paid the Bates Ferguson and Associates in October and received another call today from CDC Associates, the phone number nowe for Bates Ferguson is no longer in services.

I would love to see if I can get my money back

same thing happened to me....I paid them in October 2012 received another call threatening court today Feb.22,2013 call them no number for Bates....
