A recorded message telling me that this was the office of Lee Parker of the Internal Revenue Service, calling me about income tax fraud. Before the case was turned over to the Federal fraud court Agent Parker wanted to speak to me. I had these types of calls before where the "agent" speaks to you and tries to settle before it goes to "fraud court." The joke's on them because the IRS does not call you. They send a letter to first do an audit and then they contact you by name. They do not leave a generic voice mail message.

I picked up the phone. It's an automated service saying I should call them back on the same number. I called them back. I was immediately connected to a real person. It's an outsourced phone center. Pretty convincing because they greeted me with "Internal Revenue Service. How may I help you?" I said I got a call from you. He asked what's my case number. I said I have no idea. Then, he wanted my name and zip code. I just hung up. Such a scammer! Be careful!
