No message...hung up after about 20 seconds

I just received a call from the same #. Hung up a few seconds after asking to speak with me.  I called back and an automated msg says no one is able to answer my call. Did you get any details on who these people are?

Normally I just do not answer numbers on the display that I do not recognize, but decided to see what was cooking this time.  It turned out to be a Home Energy company wanting to schedule a home energy audit, absolutely free. How nice of them! One has only to go online and put "Home energy scams" in Google to see just how bad the reports are. I expressed my opinion of their offer...politely of course, and hung up. No audit for me today!

OK, So I get a call from 1-551-232-5033 earlier today. Rings twice, drops call as soon as I answer "Wei" (Chinese for Hello). Then another call later on in the early evening (Supper Hour). The agent asks if they can speak to (Last name on Gas Bill). I ask who is calling. Agent says that they are calling on Behalf of ...... Home Services Energy in North York (She claims that they are at Duffrin and Finch). And politely asks if I have had an annual maintenance done on my furnace. Well, I press her (and play a bit deaf) on who she is calling from. She gets flustered and hangs up the call.

The Call Display shows "V60118275600498", and the number dialed from is "15512325033". So the number that is being presented is a VOIP Call, and IF Legitimate (I Have doubts) the origination is from New Jersey, however the Company that is the telco , Leases out Telephone Termination Numbers, and has a shady policy and website as far as telemarketing goes.

They are not accredited with the BBB, and are using the White Pages Telephone Books for Telemarketing with out the permission of the publishers!.

They (as of spring 2016) have an executive management of:
Business Management
Principal: Avi Aronov (Partner)
Dom Cianflone (CFO)

and someone names Sass (COO)

according to the BBB.

So, they Hire some students, plunk them in front of some telephones, use VOIP Phoning for Long Distance, and Anonymity, and Get a B- from the BBB.

Would you trust anything that the agent says?

Remeber, they MAY have 1 trained technical person , and 100 "sales" agents.

They are a participant in "Enerbridge Billing" so, that you will get the bill via the gas co, if you do sign up with them,and allow them to come to your home.

Once, the get into your door, would you trust them to tell the truth, given that they already hide behind VOIP phoning to do their telemarketing.
Hmmm.
