trying to sell something

They're baaack.  Just received a call (on my cell phone) from someone saying they can drive more traffic to my website if I used their "so much better" development services.  I LOVE these calls - asked the woman what she thought of my website and she almost swallowed her gum!  I told her that she's saying my website (which is great, by the way) is inferior and they can improve my traffic - so TELL me how mine is inferior.  She wanted me to talk to their "tech guy", which I refused to do.  Kept her on the phone for a few minutes and then, mercifully, told her I'm not interested in buying their service.

They wouldn't answer and just hung up. I've received a call from these folks before as well.

I have an outstanding site as well so I have no intentions of calling them back. They didn't leave a voicemail which I appreciate since it doesn't count toward my transcriptions. Thanks.

These among many others always call to boost our appearance with SEO.  I always ask how they found us? They usually say something like "I Googled Realtors® in Maryland". Then I say "And we came up on the first page?" Some say yes outright while others say "um, well" and try to dance around it and continue with their scripted sales pitch. Then I say "Then why do I need you?  Thanks for confirming our current campaign is working.  Have a nice day!" Then they hear 'click while they desperately and frantically continue their sales pitch. Then I block the number.  Sometimes if I'm not busy I turn the tables on them and ask them if they have a property to sell and are they looking to buy. If not do they know anyone looking to sell or buy as we've associates all over the world in our referral database.  We have a vast fleet of hot air balloons.  No?  Perhaps your manager does.  Can you transfer me to him or her?  Then I hear the click.  Who knows.  One day one will say 'well actually yes'.  I'm not holding my breath though.
