Got a call from this number and when I answered, no one was there. My guess is that they are sending out robocalls to determine valid numbers; once someone answers, they log the information electronically for future calls. I called back on a different number. A recording answered, stating you can press #1 to be removed from their list (yeah right). Option #2 was to speak with someone. I pressed option #2. I immediately was transferred and could hear what can only be described as a boiler room operation...lots of voices talking on the phone. The call was then immediately disconnected. I called back, and reached a woman, who seemed very nice (for someone working in a robocall, do not call violating company). She said she was from the renewable energy association. I called back several times...I got Paula, Mary Lou, and some other lady asking "May I please speak to the homeowner," as if she didn't know that I was calling. It appears she thought the call had been transferred to her. It's alarming, as you get a live person almost immediately, and it's always a different person. I tried looking up the purported company name on the California Corporations website, but no such company exists. I called back and spoke to the person that answered. After having to answer several questions, he revealed that he is feeding the leeds to Solar America. The call was recorded, he talked about how agreeing to talk would override the do not call list, etc. Very slick. I'm pretty surprised that a legitimate company would be violating the do not call law in such an aggressive manner.
