Heavy Pakistani accent, called me and told me that he is from IRS and complained that he was from IRS.

And he called me at 7:00 AM....US government needs to take very strict actions against this kind of called to protect their citizen.

My mom received a call from someone with a thick accent claiming she owed back taxes.  Uncomfortable, she asked for a name and number.  She was given this number and was told to ask for Mike Victor.

Same here -- very thick accent, hard to understand. Threatening that we should call back if we didn't want action taken against us. Curious, tried to call back, but just a beep -- no voicemail, no nothing. Called my accountant and she said ignore it; total scam.

Received phone call from this number. Caller had a heavy Indian accent. He new my name, identified that he was with the IRS, and told me there were some miscalculations on my tax return. I told him my tax returns were done by my CPA and without giving him my email address, I told him to email me about the issue.  He then told me to have my CPA call him and he identified himself as David Christopher and left a phone number of 530-208-0698 X139.  

Yes even I got a call from this number. They knew my husband's name & said there were some issues in his last year taxes. Gave me a number to call back with an extension as 530-208-0698 X 09 & stated the name of the officer handling the case is Mike Anderson.
