This scammer called a business number and told the person who answered that they were calling from Microsoft and that the user's computer was corrupt. The scammer then asked to remote into the computer. Then, the scammer showed the user stuff that was "wrong" with the computer. Then, the scammer asked for money to fix the problem.
Because the scammer can download hard drive contents, the scammer may have access to all your personal information, including social security numbers and passwords. DO NOT LET THE SCAMMER REMOTE INTO YOUR COMPUTER. And report the contact, whether this number or another, to the FTC so they hopefully can catch these crooks!
