Caller ID showed 'R Company'.  We don't answer numbers we don't know plus we currently have our phone set on "FAX" so we don't have to listen political calls right now.

- aha, it's the, "it's free, as long as you pay for it" marketing strategy

prerecorded scam call from the lovely speaking "julia at adt". julia wants to install a free adt security system at my home for free if I will place their groovy adt sign in my yard. Nice caller id [***]..... RRRRRR company ? what are you pirates ?
so if someone falls for this crap will jackbooted thugs show up to their address and rob them blind ?
the phone number used for caller id is FAKE.....a violation of federal and state law prohibiting fraudulent transmission of caller id.
at this point in time...2016....ANY CALL going to homeowners on the DO NOT CALL LIST is without exception a criminal scam.
no legitimate company will risk significant state and federal criminal charges by engaging in illegal telemarketing which will undoubtably be a massive marketing failure anyhow.
