Right DNC is a list, however the www.donotcall.gov is run by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and they are a Regulatory branch of government who have the authority to prosecute DNC offenders...

Nassauzno1 NY comes up on caller I.D.  Since I do not know that person, I will not
pick up, but he/she continues to call all hours.  Usually it is when I am not home, but
it is in my "missed calls".
