Are you using magic jack?

Caller ID shows "DIRECTV" but they left no answer and are now blocked in my system.

I have been receiving calls from this number for two days now and it's aggravating. I have called the number back numerous times and get nothing but an annoying busy signal.

Did not pick up phone. They didn't leave a message.  Need to add to my spam filter.

It's DirecTV.  I had a call from them last night and was bored, so we had a 'chat'.  I have 3 months left on my contract and tried to tell them that them giving me a piece of *#&% new dvr and signing a new contract for two years for $79.95 was 'almost real interesting'.

Then I mentioned Dish, and that I was thinking that for the same price, I'd get phone service and high speed internet as well.

"Oh, we have high speed internet... lemme put you on hold and talk to my supervisor and see what we can do."

pause...

"We can give you high speed internet and tv/cable, blah blah, and it's going to only be $159.00 per month.  That's a great savings, I'm sure you'd agree."

I actually know how to count with more than both hands, and realize that $79 for 3 services (even though the price goes up the second year) with Dish TV is both LESS $ and MORE services than $159 for 2 services.

I finally told them that to call me back with their oh-so-sweet, tempting, only tonight can I guarantee this price offer, because they were flagrantly interfering with my otherwise blissfully-content evening.

I hung up before he could spell 'dictionary', let alone find one.

What do you know, they called again tonight.  24 hours later.  I was at a dinner party, and forgot to shut off my phone, and nearly accidentally dropped it in my water glass.
