I just received this call from a man with a think accent claiming he was from Microsoft and my computer was giving them "Error, Error, Warning, Warning" messages. Since I signed up for a similar type of service from HP a week ago when I bought my new computer, I listened thinking this might be real, but I also thought it might have been a prank call. I sat quietly listening, and once he asked me if I was near my computer, I asked "Is this a recording" and he didn't answer instead going, "Sir, Hello, Sir". I hung up immediately, and searched the number on Google and found out it was a scam, thankfully I hung up. I received a call earlier in the day from a "Fabian Aguilar" (323-265-9875), I answered but no one said anything so I hung up. Looks like that was a scam too.
Now I want to know, how did these people get my number all of a sudden?
