Got a phone call on the landline this morning, but they didn't leave a message. I called this number from a different phone and got a distorted recording that identified themselves as the "Iowa Department of Revenue." The person on the other end of the line identified themselves as "Jesse." None of the Iowa Department of Revenue's numbers listed on their website even comes close to this one. The Iowa Department of Revenue doesn't do business by cold-calling people. Unless you have outstanding debts with them, they'll contact you by mail. If this is a real number, somebody has been using it as a spoof number to orchestrate a scam.

I received the same call today, stated it was from Iowa Dept of Revenue, tries saying I owed from 2013.
