Received a cheque for a huge amount..I tried calling this number several times but just kept on ringing..my god..who are these people..Cheque name : LEGAL AID ONTARIO..

also received large cheque for over 3900. - number is cell phone - also under legal aide ontario -
asked to shop for 100 - send most by western union -third party - very suspicious.. scam ??

Yes, it is a scam.  Fake check, demands use of Western Union, both are signs of FRAUD.

Received letter and  cheque instructing me to cash and send money via Western Union. Called the number on the letter to find out what was going on by no one answered. This smells like poop to me and I have no intention of putting my nose in it. My advice to others receiving this SCAM CHEQUE burn it.
