Said I was being sued by the IRS for defrauding the IT'S between 2010 and 2016. When asked why this is the first I've heard of it they said they sent me letters in November and February. I asked if I could talk to someone at my local ORS office, and he said they would be no help, I hung up after that.

Those are supposed to say IRS, sometimes I hate this phone.

He said his name was Daniel Wyman? Or wiseman? Not sure because the recording was so bad. But the recording said he was from the IRS and I had a case number and there was criminal charges filed against me and if I didn't call this number back and talk to him or have my lawyer call him the criminal proceedings would begin. First of all the IRS would never call you out of the blue! Second of all you would have received an official envelope  or something in the Mail from the IRS before you would have gotten a call!

I have been getting calls from this number for several days now. First, it is a big time scam - I called my local IRS office about two months ago because there was another IRS Scam making the rounds. This recording basically said that it was the IRS calling and gave me 'my' case number CF93271. He told me that there were criminal charges against me and if I or my lawyer didn't call him back the criminal proceedings would begin. THEN, he said that if he didn't hear from either one of us then all he could do was "wish you good luck as this situation unfolds on you."  Yeah, that was real professional! Evidently, the 512-813-7373 is a 'hot line to his desk'. Second, I am going to call my local IRS office - I know they have a department that handles scams like this. It can't hurt just to notify them and give them the phone number it is coming from.

I also received this call & was given the same case number as other people..how can everyone have same file number..what a scam..1st of all I don't owe any money to IRS..my taxes are paid..when you try to call them back anyway out of curiosity it rings 3 times & either hangs up or gives fast busy signal..let them call back again lol!
