I called back because I get calls for personal business with unknown number and I am not hiding from anything. Once they told me what they were calling about I hung up. Never talk to these kind of people - ever!  And do not get afraid. Only court papers for a small claims case mean anything, and even then you can and should dispute a small claims case. It is easy , in most cases actually. Just ask for verification. On another matter. If you get a 1099 C, do not panic as you can likely offset it with a IRS form 982. EASY LIKE STAPLES. The interest income goes away if you have more debts than assets.

They are now using yet another number 512-562-0059 very nice guy.  He said it was snowing in New York right now and I told him to send me confirmation of the debt and then i would call him back.  I still have not received confirmation of any debt.
