Caller ID: Austin TX

i don't usually answer calls from numbers i don't recognize, but i recently had an auto accident and have been dealing with my insurance company / a towing company / a body shop. that being said, I live / work in Austin, so seeing it was a call from an Austin area code, i didn't think anything of it and figured it was one of the aforementioned. WRONG! it seemed to be a recording that started off by saying  something to the effect of "Hi this is John from Customer Service, can you hear me ok?" my response was "What customer service?", which i was interrupted by the recording that said "Great! You have been selected for a free vacation..." that's when i hung up the phone and blocked the number.

it was a lady on the phone that said I was elegible for student loan forgiveness.  I told her that I didn't have any student loans and it was a recording that responded with "great lets get you started".  Hung up and blocked it
