Received call this morning from this #. Did not recognize so let go to messaging. Female recorded voice claiming to be from the IRS! Advised to call regarding pending lawsuit !!!
Probably a spoofed # that shows from Texas

Caller claimed to be from the IRS. Told me they were suing me for taxes owed.

Just got a message same as Brent L.  I know I am in good standing with IRS, so I imagine this is a phishing scheme.

This is what I got, via visual voicemail:

Call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 512-308-2424. I repeat 512-308-2424. Thank you.

Got call from this # that was a female voice recording saying the IRS has been trying to contact me due to they will be filing a law suit. First of all the IRS sends notices by mail. Second they don't call from Bastrop, Texas. Third the wife of one of my son's co-workers fell for this scam about 3 weeks ago.  I don't know if it was from this same phone #, She called them and they asked for payment with a pre-paid card to stop the law suit, which she did. The IRS confirmed it was a scam and the bank said they can't get their money back due to it was paid with a pre-paid card.
