Partial  message on answering machine that the IRS was filing suit against us and to find out more about case to call this number.  Our DA's office said is a scam, was on TV that the IRS does not inform of impending actions by  phone;  also we are thousands of miles from Washington state.

received call saying they were from IRS and were filing law suit against us that we needed to contact them

IRS Scam saying you're in a lawsuit with the IRS and need to call them. Totally bogus as IRS always notifies using U.S. Mail.

I also got a call saying I was in a lawsuit with the IRS and if I didn't pay them $3986.73 imediately I would be arrested.
I kept calling them back and asking questions and they started answering the phone, hey A... Hole why are you calling me. It was kind of fun.
