Just got a call and let it go to voicemail. They asked me to call 509-872-5502 immediately because the IRS was lodging a lawsuit against me.

I just got a call from this phone number saying that they were from the IRS. I hung up on them. Please do something about these scammers.

The federal government just put one of these Indian scammers in lock-up for 14 years. And there's talk of more prosecutions.
But--there are thousands of these call centers and Gawd knows how many free-lance scammers doing the same thing.
Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID.
No easy answers on this one.

I received 2 cell voice mails instructing me to call back immediately. 509-392-6376 AND 509-872-5502
Googled both numbers before calling. Thanks for the warnings.
