What a crock!  We have been audited by the IRS in the past and know how it works.  I caught them on everything they said.  They finally hung up on me!  (I guess they couldn't handle the reverse stress).

Received call on answering machine threatening a lawsuit from the IRS and to call this number to get more information. I did NOT call back!

Also received a telephone call from 509-790-0539 (Sunnyside, WA) on June 17, 2015.  It was an automated message saying the IRS is initiating a lawsuit against us and to call them back.  Of course, I immediately knew it was a scam but my husband freaked out a little bit.
