I responded, "Who is this?" and I haven't heard back at all.

Same, Same "Hi (my name). I responded with "Who is this?" Their response "LOL, if you wanna know who this is  u got to add me on Y! Messenger, my id is textiechich571".  I responded "No can do, gotta know who...just saying..." This is definitely a scam. I also called the phone number. You can find similar scams under different phone numbers by googling "textiechick text messages" on the internet.
