i got a call from this number anybody know whats up no answer and they've called multiple times

Got a call saying I was under investigation. Tried to call back and number would not go through.

Man with a heavy accent saying he is with the "Department of Law". Obviously a scam. They have your information if you have ever applied for a bad credit loan online. Beware, they are not real, just frauds!!

They are from the country of India, and they've been doing this awhile.  You'll probably get a call every couple days from a different number, but you'll notice the person's voice is basically the same.  They are running a scam where they try to scare you into sending them your credit/debit card info so they can clear the "payment" you owe for a payday loan you probably never took.  So far, I've gotten calls from area codes in San Francisco, Martha's Vineyard, Oklahoma City, and now Cambridge, MA.  They use either the company name "American Law Associates" or "Department of Law and Investigations."  Don't fall for their script; which if you listen in the background on some calls you can hear others saying the exact same thing the person said to you. They are fun to call back and mess with.  They lose their temper easy and will start cussing you out.  Last week I told them they were running a scam and to quit calling me (which didn't work) and the caller told me I was an "American cry-baby."

Got a call at work from an a man with a heavy accent (name was unintelligible) asking for one of our employees to call back at this number.  He said he was from the "Department of Law - Investigations" and that his "Senior Investigator" wanted to speak with the employee.
