Same thing happened to me. They told me they were coming to my job to arrest me. I called the sheriffs department he said it was a scam.

They call all the time I usually just let it go straight to voice mail. They are nothing more than a scam I believe its out of India. Calling the state attorney really doesn't do any good as they have no authority in India or where ever these calls originate from. Typically they get your information by having legitimate looking websites set up for actual loans. The type where you put in all your info and it gives you the best rates. If it gets too annoying like when they start calling ever 15 minutes then I call the number back and sit and listen to politely to their "affidavit" which they ask you not to interrupt. When he finishes I then politely remind them that with out legal documentation being delivered to me personally then no legal action can be taken against me. Also I tell them that the call has been recorded (which is legal because they state it is recorded in the beginning) and I will be forwarding the call and info to their VOIP carrier (almost always XO MASSACHUSETTS). When I hang up I call XO MASSACHUSETTS and inform them their service is being used to scam people illegally and if I get another call from that number I will report them to the attorney general.

Very rare that I get another call from the number again although about 2-3 weeks later a new number will call.

I TOO HAVE BEEN RECEIVING THESE CALLS...THEY STATED ALEX BROWN FROM BAKER & mCKINZIE LAW FIRM... THIS IS SO WRONG...

To xxxxx they also told me the same exact thing that they're from baker and McKenzie law firm...

I have received multiple calls from them a day and at first I let them go to voicemail. Then they called me at work and that caused some problems. I researched the number and found out it was a scam and told them not to call me again. I didn't hear from them and I thought it was done. Just a an hour ago I got 3 more calls from them. I called them because I knew if I hung up they would trace the call and call me again. They did exactly that; I said do not call me again I know you are a scam then hung up. They called again and I said the same thing. They called one more time and I said if you call me again my lawyer will definitely be calling you! We will see.
