FYI: comments are claims he has made. If u r interested, I have many more. He claims to be a 19 yr US Marine vet named Christopher Rider (check him out on Facebook - the photos are of him but the scammer is using his identity) who attended West Point; claims he's currently deployed in Syria, also having served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Libya & Russia. Being discharged Feb. 2016. Claims to be a single dad of 8 yr old daughter. He says his wife died in a tragic car accident - her parents blame him for her death. After only a day, he has asked me to buy him a gift card because he can't buy it himself since they supposedly aren't allowed to have cash or make phone calls. He is already calling me terms of endearment & claims he has deleted his online dating website acct to focus on me. He got me to sign up with Viber so we could text for free.

Hi Kay - this person also tried to take financial advantage of me by telling me to buy him a gift card. See my posting below. I am sorry you had to experience this. Others have tried to get $ from me. I have reported over a dozen fake profiles. It is a money making business and there is a documentary on YouTube regarding this issue.

Oh my! thank God I trusted my instinct to check a certain Christopher Rider who claims to be a US Marine. He says he is now deployed in France and will be back in the US in November to retire. Same story -- has a 11-yr old daughter in LA, wants badly to have a family, and asking me to delete the dating app so that we can focus on each other. Now I know. Thanks for this.
