This number claims to be the IRS and it's a recording that claims "this is a collection call about your IRS debt."  Funny, because I don't have any...total SPAM and these people should be stopped!

I also got the call claiming to be from the IRS, clearly a scam.

About all you can do is block the calls.  Calls originate in India and Pakistan and there's no stopping them.

This PARTICULAR IRS service has called me about two dozen times telling me that I have a tax problem that can be cleared up by simply giving them my social security number.  That was before I found a simple way to block ALL such callers immediately but I still see the number come up a couple of times a week.  I guess the IRS is too strapped for cash to afford a stamp.  For what it's worth, there IS no category on this web site that describes this type of call because there certainly NEEDS to be a category for trying to steal from the person they called.
