The pre-recorded call came in around 20:30 on the 22nd of January 2015 from a local number 504-249-8723, talking about ObamaCare enrollment in a matter of 6 minutes or less. In-state numbers (even if spoofed) are EXEMPT from compliance with the  FTC  Do-Not-Call list. The message went on the refer callers  to 470-236-2262 for immediate assistance. When called the 470-236-2262 number, it reappeared as  504-249-8723. More likely than not, they will ask for SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION. DO NOT GIVE ANY OUT! To get rid of them, keep THEM on the line with USELESS information, and ask for personal visit by a sales person. THAT will never happen and they will give up on YOU!.

Checked with a number of other complaint sites. Who Calls Us stated that "heavy spam activity is suspected". In a comment this number was identified as the source of "healthcare spam".

I just got a call from this number at around 6:55 p.m.  I won't answer numbers that i do not recognize, so I usually look those phone numbers up on the computer.  More often than not, these unknown numbers are robocallers, telemarketers, or some type of questionable organization.  Just be smart and never give out any personal information at all.  I just can't understand how so many different numbers like this call my home phone and cell all the time, even though my husband and I have put our numbers on the "Do Not Call List."  Seems to me this list does not exist...lol.

The phone rang through the first time just short of the answering machine.

The second call rang through again but rang past the answering machine like they were going to leave a message.
