repeated calls from this number with just a series of beeps on the other end of the line. a return call to this number yields a message which states that  this number is disconnected.

tried calling the # back.  We're sorry this # has been disconnected and is no longer in service.

this number is from the multnomah county jail. you can not call it back since it is an outgoing phone only. they let the inmates use it when they are booked and can not make a collect call.

I got a call from this number this morning. How do you know that it is the jail?

They left a message and it was someone from the Unemployment office calling about my claim.
