The guy called from a call center ( you can hear them in the background). I asked him 3 times to take the number of their list and he kept beating around the bush and was snarky. When I asked who he is with he gave some acronym that pretty much meant nothing. He wanted my name and I refused to give it to him. He wanted to know if I was authorized for the account. Of course he is not saying what his name is. I got the name of the company from which he was calling by doing a search for the phone number. Do these people really think I would do business with someone who makes snarky calls like that? Rude dude.

Just got a call from this number and no response.

second time today this number called. Seems like harassment to me

Second time, yesterday and today. This one sounds like when someone sets the receiver down then leaves the room. This is a business line and we started monitoring the incoming calls randomly back searching numbers that appear numerous times. Six months ago 38% of our incoming calls were solicitation type calls, that has increased to almost 50%.  That’s half of all calls made to my business every day are as worthless as this one. Think about the economic impact these (mostly computer generated.) calls have on small business in this country. Everyone is paying for this harassment. Is there anything that can be done. The “no call” list hasn’t worked.
Taking time to write this won’t solve the problem, but I feel better. Thanks to anyone that actually reads this stuff. Have a great week.
