Agreed, most likely the spammer spoofed the number.
As of late I've been receiving calls from local numbers from the deceased or legitimate local businesses only to answer the phone and have one of the Lower-Credit-Card, Car Warrenty, Student Loans, MS Tech Support, or my favorite - IRS GOING TO SEND THE POLICE

People, please keep this in mind, the person you think just spammed you may themselves be a victim of Caller-ID-Identity-Theft
