CID: CAREER ADVISING

After 3 calls w/in 5 minutes, I finally broke down and picked-up.  Male caller stated that he was from our 'local homeland security' office, that our call was being recorded and wanted to know if I was aware that 'several' home security alarms in my area had been 'falsely' going off...
I don't have a home security system, as I live in a secured bldg.  When I asked why his CID read "Career Advertising" when he was asking about home alarms...the phone went dead.  It's possible that the voice I heard was a recording, as there was a LONG pause between his initial spiel and me saying, "Okay" so he could continue.  No idea what the end game is, but this caller is definitely either a scammer, spoofer or spammer...the dreaded triple S's.  Ignore and block call.

I called the number back since they already know they got a 'live' number (in for a penny, in for a pound):  Recorded message stated that I should press 2 to be put on their DNC (haha!) list or that I could email them at customerservice2016@gmail.com.  I've never been offered an email address b/f, so thought I'd leave the info here (the scam-artists are getting fancy!!).  However, I DID search the email address and guess what?  It's associated with ANOTHER spam/nuisance phone number.  Shocking, I know.  Oh, how I wish I could track down the very real people behind these very fake scams...just to, you know...shame them.  :)

Called my Google Voice number, reluctantly picked up.  Lady said something about Medicare Adviser, I said I was covered by a Medicare Advantage plan (figured that might be a sorta quick way to shut them up but I wasn't going to give out more info than that), but then after a short silence, a hangup.

Even if they are an illegal telemarketer, and somehow don't want my business, it is even more infuriating that they just hang up.  A polite, our product doesn't fit you, or the like.  But asking criminals to be social and polite, well, lipstick on a pig I guess.

Just received 3 calls from this number. Answered on third. Recording said he was Joe, calling about some mortgage from some company. (Sorry for lack of details. I'm nightshift, half asleep and HIGHLY irritated that I was woken up for this.) Recording cut out when I responded. I called back, and it was the same exact message. No call back from the number as of yet. It's been about 5 minutes.

Just called back again. Female voice now. "Thank you for calling customer service.Please select an option so we can better assist you..."

I hung up after that.
