I got a text message from this number earlier today (11/18/12). They said hey and my name. I replied awhile later with who is this. They replied with if I had Yahoo and to chat with them there with a name similar to those stated in other posts above. Then I again said who is this and they replied oh phone dying or something to that effect. I called the number up via google voice and it stated it was a textplus number. Anyway, it's obviously spam but still I'd like to know how they got my name and number.

Family member just got same type of text message from this number.  When asked who was texting the return message was that their phone was about to dye and to add them to messanger.  This is the 3rd or 4th instance of this type of text I have seen in the past week.  Most definatly spam!
