said he wanted to buy my pool table, sent me a check for more than we agreed, from a bank in Oklahoma city when he said he was in amerilo TX.I sent a copy of the check to the bank on the check and it was a fraudulant check, this guy is still triing to get me to cash the check.

He tried to do the same with me.. said "I'll pay your asking price plus $50 to take the ad off craigs list"  and he would send me a check.  I told him no (as I'm aware of scams like this)

I was burned by this kind of scam once before and I was left owing my bank $2500 that I didn't have.

Did the same thing today for my pool table. Glad to know my guy feeling was a scam, and confirmed it ere from Jim and Noyb. Thank you two!

Thanks for the heads up, had the same caller contact me about my pool table on CL saying the same thing and was very persistent about it.  Thanks guys, had the same gut feeling too, when it sounds too good there's something wrong.

i got the same message from this number. telling me they would pay the asking price plus an extra $50 to take the ad off craigslist and they would pay with a cashiers check. i'm glad i read this before agreeing to it. thanks!
