They called this morning and when the person they asked for wasn't available, they said it was a "courtesy" call and would call back later. They've called before and have left no message. It says they're located in Phoenix, AZ. I am on the do not call list and reading the other complaints here, it sounds like a scam.

I received a call from this number tonight and when I tried to do a reverse lookup, nothing came up for the number 480-442-1940.  I am on a do not call list as well.  I refuse to answer phone calls if I don't know the number calling or if I suspect it to be a telemarketer.  Out of curiousity I picked up the phone but said nothing.  A man came on using my first name and when he wasn't getting a response he hung up.  Next time that number calls me I am going to have a whistle handy and use it as loud as I can when I answer.  Maybe a shock and sore eardrum may get the message across that I'm not interested!!

This particular number said they were with Freedom Merchants Funding. I asked, and sure enough they are out of Arizona, just like the 602-652-2194 number that usually calls us EVERY DAY!. Same scam. Only the 652 prefix says they are EFC Visa & MC Merchant Services... or another person told me E Fisrt Financials. Whichever company they claim to be named, it's all the same. A scam, make easy money at home and all you have to do is give them $200 via your debit or credit card to get started. I told them they must be crazy to think I would give a starnger my card number and still they keep calling. Again, and again, and again, I have told them EVERYDAY to go into their database and take put my number on their DO NOT CALL LIST. Still, they call. every day. day after day after day. Today, I lost my temper. We cannot figure out how they got our number in their system...l.and as I was typing this, Ironicly I just recieved a call from 718-924-2796 (NY number this time), SAME SCAM.  only this time a few hundred dollars to get started.The girl hung up on me.
