Caller left a VM claiming to be from Wells Fargo. I have a loan out through them and they've solicited me by phone for refinancing offers and additional products a couple times over the past 3 years. Usually they call from a Minnesota #, though, not an Arizona #.

Some people on other sites are calling this a scam, although I think people throw that assumption around a little too much when they just don't know the reason behind the call (one person incorrectly calls it a scam, everyone else sees their post, and re-posts that they've heard this is a scam). I don't know if that's true, the voicemail was polite and, again, I am a Wells Fargo customer.

just got a voice message from this number called back their voice message stated wells fargo consumer financial   - didn't leave any info for them   think they are the marketing / sales portion of wells fargo trying to sell me more financial products

I received a call from this number earlier today. The lady said her name was Karen and she was with Wells Fargo and this was her direct line. She said that they wanted to run a credit check to see if they could offer me a lower rate on my car loan. I didn't give out any information, but I called Wells Fargo and they said that no one had made an entry of having contacted me and the last time they accessed my account was May 2 to adjust a balance.

These people called my home phone and old cell number which now belongs to other family member.  They identified themselves as Wells Fargo.. I called the 1-800 real
Wells Fargo number who indicated no one from the bank had called me.  Reverse White pages indicate this is a company called Century link in Tempe AZ. How odd.
