Just received a call from 480-481-1921.  The person identified herself first as a county employee, where I live.  Knowing the county where I live does not have any type of office that she said she was from, I started to ask her questions about her call.  She became very verbal with me and said that I was the one that won't let her talk.  (I hung up on her).  The second time she call she started asking questions about where I was located.  (again I hung up).  The last time I didn't answer so this message was left:  This is a legal notification to serve for an employee with unprovided or inaccurate information.  Kimberly Anderson is who is with Judicial Services.  This is in violation of federal banking regulations.  They will be contacting the county I live in to proceed with the paperwork.  Who are these people and what the heck are they talking about???  She left this number for me to call the company back 717-961-5145.  

These tactics fit those of unscrupulous or downright illegal debt collectors.  Posing as a Judicial or Law Enforcement Official is a crime. Judicial Services is likely a name made up by this collector to intimidate those they call.  If you have any doubts as to whether there are any legal actions pending against you (or a third party if they are calling your company looking for someone), you can contact the Clerk of Courts for your County.  Unpaid debt is civil and not criminal.  Fraud can only be pursued if the prosecutor can show prior intent at the time the debt was incurred.  Notification by telephone or message left on an answering machine does not constitute "legal notification" of anything except in very extraordinary circumstances.
