Received a hang-up from this number, called back and got a survey company named Venture Data. I went to their website and added my name to their do-not-call list, so we'll see if they call back.

7:00 pm call on my cell phone.  It's a survey company.  I asked how they got my cellular phone number and he told me all their numbers are randomly generated.  I told him the beauty of an iPhone is that I can block them from calling ever again…and I did just that.

They call themselves a survey company, but after taking the survey, I can tell you they are actually trying to get you to vote for a specific candidate. They are heavily biased toward one of the candidates for Attorney General and are quite obviously trying to sway you toward their candidate. I've worked for a legitimate research company before and I can tell you that this company is definitely hired by one of the political parties/candidate and are not interested in doing actual research.
