Just received a call requesting I call back to this same number. They basically stated the exact same thing and wanted the number that I received the call from. When I started pushing for more information and stated that the IRS does not track by phone number, they hung up on me twice.

Same thing happened to me. Obviously a scam. They're using a crappy text-to-voice robot to make the calls. Probably to hide whatever weird accents they have.

Totally a scam telling you there is serious legal filings against you for failing to pay your debt.

They called & left a recorded message stating that I was being sued by the IRS. When I called them back they asked me for the number they called from and told me that they needed to collect money for the IRS that I owed in a previous year. When I told them that I would have my lawyer call them they stated: "what does that have to do with the IRS?" and hung up! A SCAM!!
