caller ID reads Boys & Girls, when I pick up it is a recording that say" please hold for a representative about 5 times" than a click, that is when I hang up

Caller ID says " boys and girls". Assume it's a telemarketer/fund raiser as I don 't answer the phone anymore unless I know the #. Leave a message!

Claimed to be from Waterbury Connecticuit Police department soliciting for childrens fund. The area code is from Indiana. Looks like a scam.
