stupid idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i answered by mistake because  I was expecting a call from someone else.  they started telling me i had won a cruise.  he wouldn't shut up for me to say a word.  he kept asking me could i hear him then it went to a recording.  i hung up

I just received a call from this number.  It registered 14704265793 (sometimes these calls only register nonsense on the CID).  Mom answered.  Dead air then some robo-voice said she won a cruise.  She hung up.  (It's a slow day around here.)  As for laws that stop these people, they're good at two things: 1) deceit, and 2) figuring ways around the methods honest people use to keep them at bay.  One tool they use is a computer (ironic) that randomly connects area codes, prefixes, and numbers at the touch of a button, which I imagine is marked "Call" or "Dial", so they never consult do-not-call lists.  That's how they vary phone numbers.  I don't even have to point out that they're in some other country so they are outside our laws.
