I did not get a call from this number, but got a postcard from Konnex LLC asking me to call this number. I googled Konnex LLC and came across this post on 800Notes under a different number (800-980-4117). There were lots of other posts with even more #s - 615-671-4983, 423-228-5850, 205-203-9010
"I did not get a call from this number, but rather got a card in the mail with this number on it. The text of the card reads, "Sorry we missed you. We have been trying to reach you to deliver an important package. To reschedule delivery: -Call the number on the other side of this card -Reference the tracking number to one of our delivery representatives. Our team understands your time is valuable and we will schedule the most convenient time to deliver to your home."
Seeing as how we are always waiting on a package of some sort, and the card came with a first class stamp, I thought it might have been legitimate. I searched for the company on the card (Konnex, LLC) and got nothing. Since a shipping company would probably have a website or at least an address listing, I figured something was amiss. I was correct. After a bit of digging it seems this is yet another number attached to a sales scam that's been going on for a few years now. The other numbers I found (which may or may not still be used for this gig) were 866-209-2989, 817-962-2654, 888-959-3866, and 888-855-7522. I'm sure there are more I didn't find.
Based on what I read, the scheme has been the same since at least 2011. You call the number on your card, a "delivery representative" gets your personal information, and then they set up an appointment for some poor schmuck to come to your house. Your "important package" is actually a small bottle of Tide detergent, and the real reason for the visit is to try to sell you a water filtration system. I'm glad I searched before I called the number, and I hope this keeps others from falling victim to this.
The address on the card:
Konnex, LLC
1500 Beville Rd Ste 606-244
