The person asked for me by name, when I replied, "Speaking", she hung up on me.  I am late on my Best Buy bill, so that probably is it.  Weird, though.

Citi keeps calling with a recording for us to return their call.  I've tried returning the call to tell them to stop calling and I don't get any results.

Never went to Best Buy. Don't have a Citibank Card either. These are just annoying calls with no other purpose than no purpose. They call many times/ everyday. I have them blocked but still see when they tried.

In order to legally stop phone calls you must comply with federal and state laws to stop telephone calls for a debt or alleged debt owed.

See, Texas Finance Code, Ch. 392 (for State law protections (which afford more protection than Federal Law)) & United States Code, Title 15, Section 1692 (among other regulations in the Federal Code of Regulations (or C.F.R.s)).

Only then can you stop collection calls; if they continue to call then you have the right to collect money damages for the violations so they will stop.
