I was selling an item on the app "Letgo" for $75.00; they told me that they wanted the item, but were out of town and wanted me to hold the item for them and they would give me an extra 100 dollars for my trouble. They then proceeded to send me a "certified check" in the amount of $2400 and they wanted me to deposit the check and then send the difference ($2,225.00) to their movers. SCAM! Beware of anyone that wants your address, phone number, name AND they say that they are out of town. These people are SCAMMERS! Luckily, I figured it out before it was too late.

I was selling an item on Let it go. They asked me if I would accept an electronic transfer of funds into my account. BUT they would give me an extra 100 dollars for my trouble. This happened to me before when I was selling something else on the same site.
