This "recruiter" posed as a caller with a personal interest in the financial services offered by my employer.  When I initially took the call, I asked what company she was with and she said she was not with a company.  I asked her if she was referred by someone and she said yes, by someone her husband works with named John.  She said she was calling for personal financial reasons.  Three lies, you're out.  When I called back to confront her, she indicated it was none of my business why she had called and hung up on me.  Not a good way to do business.

My experience with "Heather" was favorable and I hate to hear the other responses.  I appreciated the discreetness in her call with my assistant, and was made very aware of the reason for her call the minute I called her back.  Having been in the industry 16 years, I have never known of a recruiter to be open and upfront with my assistant as to the nature of their calls, but I do know "Heather" was courteous, professional, and to the point.

I received this same message on my home phone.  I am suspicious of "financial executive" above.  Too bad you "hate to hear the other responses".  "Heather" leaves her message in a way calculated to give the impression that you have reason to know her when this is clearly not the case.  I feel sorry for anyone with a jealous wife who might get this call at home.  It all is just too "hinky" to be trusted especially if she is reluctant to state who she represents or what her purpose is in calling....
